Lusis announces availability of TANGO transaction platform on HP Integrity NonStop servers for advanced FSI application use.

Paris, France, 30 Sept 2009 – Lusis, a leading ISV in transaction switching technology, announces the availability of the TANGO transaction engine on HP Integrity NonStop servers. TANGO supports advanced ATM, POS, Switching, and Authorization applications and value added services applications in the Financial Services Industries (FSI). TANGO also supports mission-critical applications in non-FSI markets.

TANGO availability on HP Integrity NonStop broadens the Lusis product range which previously encompassed HP-UX, LINUX, and other UNIX operating environments. The TANGO technology provides customers with modern, fully-featured switching technology, based on open standards, while also allowing the customer or a local reseller the flexibility to implement, self-support, modify, and expand advanced FSI applications in an open, federated approach with existing FSI applications. The user can then minimize cost and risk in moving to next-generation payment systems.

“TANGO transaction environments allows unmatched flexibility – at very low risk -- as FSI customers implement next generation payment applications,” said Philippe Preval, managing director of Lusis. “Working with HP Integrity NonStop servers at the EMEA technical center, we have demonstrated that the TANGO architecture fits well with the open and modern NonStop software ecosystem. This means that FSI customers can fully utilize the power of the NonStop platform, together with its unmatched scalability and reliability, to lower the cost and risk of implementing next generation FSI processing. We see an exciting opportunity for this solution in FSI institutions who are reviewing their payment infrastructure with a view to significantly reduce their costs without compromising quality or availability, and, to leverage data for value-added services as key differentiators.”

The TANGO transaction engine is available for ATM, POS, FSI transaction switching, and FSI transaction authorization on the full range of the HP NonStop Integrity product line – including HP Integrity NonStop BladeSystem and the HP Integrity NS2000 family of entry-level servers.

“Financial institutions seek low-cost, low-risk ways to transform their mission-critical payment and transaction processing systems to support business growth,” stated Winston Prather, general manager of the NonStop Enterprise Division at HP. “The combination of Lusis’ TANGO and HP Integrity NonStop helps customers implement a next-generation payment system, while reducing total cost of ownership by 30 percent over their current technology infrastructure.” (“NonStop Stimulus,” Boston: The Standish Group, 2009.)
